Storm background propresenter free3/31/2024 using Atem Mini Pro has a audio delay of up to 8 frames. i never judge the mess of cables this takes to pull off either. as long as you compensate for this delay in your audio then this works. if your cameras enter at different switchers then the delay is different for every shot, so plan your setup carefully. ![]() if it's 2 frames, and 2 switchers = 4 frames of delay to the output. every switcher (esp with format converters on the inputs) adds a frame or 2 of delay to your video. wrote:the only problem with daisy chaining switchers is latency. I see that decimator now has the dmon-4s, similar box but SDI inputs with 4 HDMI outputs would make the plumbing better to the Mini but you'd still need SDI camera feeds.īTW, the dmons do have some limits, only one of the 4 boxes can be overlapped by the other 3, programing it is tedious, but you can save presets once built. so effectively I had a semi-SuperSource in my 1ME and the show moved forward. personally I only ever used this because my 2ME was delayed in a shipment to an event and I happened to have my 1ME and the dmon, so any port in a storm. but this $300 box does allow for creating 3 inputs over a 4th input which you can bring back into your switcher for multi-PIP. splitting your cameras to feed both it and your switcher is another topic of discussion. The dmon is a 4 input multiviewer, with very low latency I must point out (unlike the BMD multiviewers). i never judge the mess of cables this takes to pull off either.Īnother option I have used is the decimator dmon-quad, although I use all SDI in my systems. ![]() The only problem with daisy chaining switchers is latency.
